Personalization

Personalization is a type of custom data field that can be displayed in the storefront, allowing customers to personalize the product..

Enable Personalization

  1. From your FastCommerce admin, go to Settings > Custom Data Fields > .
  2. Click Personalization.
  3. Toggle the Enable switch on the right side of the option list.

Edit Personalization option

  1. From your FastCommerce admin, go to Settings > Custom Data Fields.
  2. Click Personalization.
  3. Click the personalization option name.
  4. Configure the option, and click Save.

Applies Personalization option to Products/Categories

  1. On the Edit Option page, scroll down to the Applies To section.
  2. Choose whether to apply this Custom Data Field to All Products, Selected Products, or Selected Categories.
  3. Search to select products or categories, then click Apply.
  4. Click Save. 

Add new Personalization option

  1. From your FastCommerce admin, go to Settings > Custom Data Fields.
  2. Click Personalization.
  3. Click New Option in the top-right corner.
  4. Configure the Option and click Save.

Personalization option type 

Personalization option support three content types:
  • Single choice: customers can select one value from a list.
  • Multiple choice: customers can select multiple values from a list.
  • Text: customers can manually enter text.
  • File: customers can upload files.

Personalization option content values 

When the content type is set to Single choice or Multiple choice, you can add values to the Personalization option by clicking the Add Item button.

Configure Personalization for Products

  1. From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products > All Products.
  2. Click the name of the product you want to configure Personalization for.
  3. On the Edit Product page, scroll down to the Personalization section.
  4. Personalization values are already applied to the product, but you can still add or edit the options.
  5. Click Save in the top-right corner.
