Your products are the goods that you sell. You add a product in FastCommerce by entering product details and uploading product images. If your product has options, like size or color, then you can add a variant for each combination of options.
You can view, add, update, and organize all of your products and variants from the Products page.
From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products.
From the All Products page, click + Add product.
Enter a title for your product, along with additional details.
Click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products.
Click the product that you want to edit.
In the title section, enter the product name.
In the description section, enter the description of your product.
Click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products.
Click the product that you want to edit.
In the Media section, click the Add images & videos.
In the dropdown menu, select Add from local, Browse File Manager, or Link to an Image URL.
If you select Add from local, you can upload images from your local device.
If you select Browse File Manager, you can select images in your fastcommerce file manager.
If you select Link to an Image URL, you can add images by providing the URL of the image.
Click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products.
Click the product that you want to edit.
In the Categories section, click +Add.
You can select the existing categories in the drop-down categories menu, or add new categories by entering the name of the category in the input box and click +Add on the right, and select it.
Click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products.
Click the product that you want to edit.
In the Shipping section, enter the weight and select the unit of the product.
Click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products.
Click the product that you want to edit.
In the Options section, enter the option name or select the option name like “Color” or “Size” from the drop down menu.
Under the Option name, enter the option value or select the option value like “Black” or “Blue” from the drop down menu. You can select multiple values at one time.
You can add more options by clicking +Add Another Option.
Click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
You can create product variants by adding option names and its values. Once product options are created, the product's variants are automatically displayed in the Variants section.
Add product variant images
From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products.
Click the product that you want to edit.
In the Variants section, click the image icon in front of the variant.
In the pop-up dialogue box,you can add images by selecting the existing product images, or add new images from your local device's storage, from the fastcommerce file manager, or by providing a URL.
Click Confirm pop-up dialogue box.
Click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
There are 3 kinds of prices:
Price - The price that you're charging for the product. You can set the currency on the Settings > Languages & Regions page.
Sale Price - The original price for a product that is on sale. When you enter a sale price, the product displays the sale price.
List Price - List price is the original price of an item as set by the manufacturer or seller. It is often used as a reference point for comparison shopping. The list price may be higher or lower than the actual selling price, depending on factors such as discounts, promotions, and haggling.
From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products.
Click the product that you want to edit.
In the Price section, enter the Price, and/or Sale Price, and/or List Price. If the checkbox in front of Sale Price is checked, the Sale Price will be displayed on your storefront.
If the product has variants, enter Price, and/or Sale Price, and/or List Price in the Variants section.
Click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products.
Click the product that you want to edit.
In the Inventory section, enter the Quantity on Hand.
If the product has variants, enter Quantity on Hand in the Variants section.
Click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) - a code that identifies a product within your business. Each SKU needs to be unique for effective tracking and sales reporting.
Barcode (ISBN, UPC, GTIN, etc.) - typically used by resellers. The identifier needs to be a new or existing Global Trade Item Number (GTIN). Some sales channels require a GTIN before a product can be published using the channel.
From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products.
Click the product that you want to edit.
In the Product Identifier section, enter SKU and Barcode.
If the product have variants, enter SKU and Barcode in the Variants section
Click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
Related products are based on products that are commonly purchased together, have a similar product description, or products in related categories. You can customize the related products by adding them in the related products section
From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products.
Click the product that you want to edit.
In the Related products section, search the product in the search bar, and select the product in the drop-down menu.
Click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products.
Click the product that you want to edit.
In the Search Engine Optimization section, click the Edit button.
In the expanded section, edit Page Title, Meta Description, URL of the product.
Click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
Product status determines whether a product is ready to be sold. Newly created products are set to Active by default, while duplicated products are set to Draft by default. The following statuses are available:
Active: The product details are complete and the product is ready to be sold.
Inactive: The product details are complete, but the product is no longer for sale. Inactive products are not visible to customers.
Draft: The product details need to be completed before it can be sold.
From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products.
Click the product that you want to edit.
In the Status section, click the drop-down icon.
Select the status in the drop-down menu.
Click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
ProductType must be "Physical" for now.
From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products.
Click the product that you want to edit.
In the Tags section, you can either search and select existing tags using the search bar, or add new tags by entering the tag’s name in the input box and click +Add.
Click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
There are two ways of adding featured product:
Method 1:
From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products.
Click the product that you want to add as a featured product.
In the Featured Product section, check the checkbox in front of “Set as a featured product on my storefront.”.
Click Save in the upper right corner of the page.
Method 2:
From your FastCommerce admin, go to Products.
In the product list, click the star icon for that product in the Featured column.
