Sales Order SettingThe “Sales Order Setting” module in Set up section has several key functions for running your store. The first is the ability to control how you would like your order numbers to start. This would be similar to setting up a checking account and having the first check numbers start at 1,000 rather than 1. Second feature is a field to enter in the email address to receive your order notifications emails, that is, the emails you would receive from the system notifying you that you have a new order. When you receive this order, you simply login to your FastCommerce account and process the order from there. The “Order Confirmation Message” allow you to create a standard template message that will go with the order confirmation emails to your customers. The message is placed toward the bottom of the email form sent out to your customers, normally in a place where you would put “Terms and Conditions”. How you use it is up to you. The final feature is “Inventory Control”. This gives you the option of either having a product disappear from your store when the inventory zeros out, or lets you continue to show the item but disables the “Add to Cart” button. However, be aware that if you enable the inventory control feature, but you have not entered in a quantity for that item on the product page management module, then the items in your store will either disappear, or there will be no “Add to Cart” and the customer will be unable to purchase.
