How do I get started?

Registering with FastCommerce automatically generates a professional Web store and a back-end management platform to build your online store and run the business. When you want to log back into your FastCommerce back end, simply go to the FastCommerce site and log in using the email and password you used to create the account.

Can I try it out before paying?

Yes. Sign up for the free version. When you are ready to upgrade go to “My Account” to find a menu of features and plans.

Is my store secure?

FastCommerce provides a secure shopping cart for your customers free of charge. There is no need to purchase an SSL security certificate. FastCommerce deploys GeoTrust to secure your online store.

Do I need to find hosting for my store?

FastCommerce is a web-based solution. Hosting is included.

How do I market my business?

Your FastCommerce web store has been completely search engine optimized based on category URL, product URL, and product name. These are automatically generated based on how you name your products and categories. We also give you control over the keywords for store's homepage. The key to your rankings and success will be based on how effectively you deploy keywords to describe your products and business.

As an additional paid feature, we also offer a powerful tool for organizing and submitting your product catalog to Google Shopping and PriceGrabber.

How do I remove the banner ads from my store?

You can sign up for additional paid services and the banner ads are removed. For as little as $4.95 a month, or $19.95 a year for installing your domain on your FastCommerce store, you can have a professional web store with an online product catalog of 50 items without the ads.

Do I need any programming skills?

No. You can build a complete online store with no programming skills required. Knowledge of HTML is not required.

Does FastCommerce charge a transaction fee?

There are no fees per transaction charged for sales on your store.

Can I have my own domain address for my store?

For the free store, you can have your domain name installed on your web store for only $19.95 a year. Then your web store will have an address formatted as www.yourdomain.com. This feature is included in the "Growing" plan for up to 2,000 items for $29.95 a month.

Are there any hidden costs?

There are no set up fees, and no contracts. You can cancel at any time. You pay by the month only for those features you elect to use.

How do I accept payments on my store?

You can accept credit card payments on your site through PayPal Web Site Payments Standard, simply my entering the email you use for your PayPal account: then your store will be automatically integrated to accept credit card payments through PayPal.

FastCommerce also offers PayPal Express Checkout, Google Checkout, and for payment gateway integration, you can accept payments on your site through Authorize.net. Integration with any of these payments systems with your FastCommerce store is a simple two step process.

Does my store come with reports? How about Google Analytics?

FastCommerce offers more than a dozen reports for insight into your business. For example, the "Products by Product Popularity" report ranks all your products by the number of page views. This is an excellent tool for gauging how well your site is organized and where improvements need to be made.

In addition, FastCommerce makes it an easy two-step process to integrate Google's powerful web site analytics tool into the whole of your web store. You get complete traffic reports on visitors, keywords and more with this free tool from Google Analytics.
